Royal meets Santa
To my dying day, hearing babies and children giggle will be my number one favorite sound.
Christmas Reasons
I know this video

Thankful for Families
I love being with my family. I'm so blessed to have such great sisters and parents. Everyone got a picture with Royal the little ambassador. Pickles with Papa, cousin Cami, Aunt Ju-Ju (the favorite) and Nana. We had some fun laughs with Aunt Alli too. Another adventurous trip to Colorado and thanks to Crystal the weather was beautiful.
Look for the good in the world
And you'll find it. I started to write out the entire saga of this night, but I was so bored writing it, I figured it would be even that more tiring to read. Every time I get lost though, there's always a positive outcome. My most life changing getting lost story was of course the way I met Chase. Sheesh you get lost on a hike with a burly, quiet, bearded man and end up marrying him. Not a bad deal.
This time I got lost with a dead cell phone . It was dark and I found some men (sketchy I know) loading up a truck. I gave them my damsel in distress story and one guy loaned me his phone. As I was trying to listen to speed talking directions the man whose phone it was talks to me at the same time, "Can you pay?"
"What?" I mouthed.
"Can you pay?" Crud no, I can't pay for this call. I hurried and ended it.
"Can you paint?" I finally understood. He had this artist's table and two brand new canvases that he threw in the back of the van. I couldn't believe that mooching off him to use his cell phone only lead me to more free stuff. I was about to ask him for a sandwich too.
I drove away beaming as is common with me when I get free things and realized I hadn't understood much from the phone conversation. I was still lost. Whoops and now nearly 45 minutes late to a tutoring session. I drove around a bit and found another man (I wasn't seeking men out, finding women would have been refreshing, they just don't come out after dark) taking out his trash. I asked him to use his cell phone beginning damsel in distress story part two. By the end of the night I found the family I was tutoring for an hour late. The mom greeted me with a huge smile and I met an energetic two year old with corn rowed hair named "Sir". There are still so many good hearted folks walking this earth. I'm thankful people were willing to help.

DBG
We went to the Desert Botanical Garden to see the monarch butterfly exhibit. We, the Chase Youngs, love butterflies! Always have, always will. In college my dad sent me monarch cocoons in the mail from our property fragilely wrapped around a stick. My roommates and I would watch them break out of their cocoons. Then after a day of gaining strength in the aparment, we had the releasing to set them free. What a fantastic experience. We felt like real moms.
Yoda He Was
We had to hone in on that bald head for Halloween this year. Royal giggles when I use my Yoda voice to talk to him. Chase turns ghostly pale and says,
'Has anyone else heard the Yoda voice before?"
"Yeah lots."
"How many would you say? More than five?"
"Probably close to fifty."
Turning even more squeamishly pale he says, "Oh dear. Your mother Royal, your mother."
