Jenny and the eleven chihuahuas

I finally started tutoring twice a week. I work with a girl who lives with her grandparents and takes online classes. They are really caring and personable people. Her grandma does foster care for chihuahuas. I know exactly what you're thinking and the answer is yes. Yesterday I had eleven yappy, toe lickin, clawing, nibbling, jumping, brown-eyed, hyper, hairless chihuahuas tearing at my legs and my lap during tutoring with the addition of two bawking parrots in cages 22 inches from my face. Those who know me best know how I feel about dogs, especially petite, high pitched barking ones.
"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." Galileo Galilei

There comes a time in every boy's life when they themselves discover the duuuht duuhht door stopper thingie. Oh how we can learn from the looks on their faces.

Itsy bitsty teenie weenie beanie

A guy in our ward knows how to crochet beanies. So that he'll continue to remain anonymous- Thanks again [codename] B-daddy.

Royal this and Royal that

Chase Roy Young as well as his brother's initials spell words. So in keeping with tradition, Royal's initials purposely spell REY (king in Spanish). Our Rey Rey is definitely el rey. His milestones become our accomplishments. Sheesh, what else is there to write about?

He will sometimes wait for the spoon to hit his lips and then fiercely blow out. This seems to the most common outcome.

Now that's it's cooling off a tad, we went camping at Workman Creek Falls. I realized the morning temperatures at maybe 48-50 degrees were the coldest Royal's ever been in his life. And that's truth, not hyperbole.

We also went to the Phoenix Zoo. He was rather intrigued by the monkeys.
